Abstract: 

The polite listener In England stares at the speaker attentively and blinks his eyes occasionally as a sign of interest. That eye-blink says nothing to Americans, who expect the listener to nod or to murmur something such as "mm - hmm”. And in some parts of  Far East, it is impolite to look at the other person at all during conversation.It is often argued that, in teaching foreign languages, CULTURE and language are interwoven in a way that it is not possible to present language without its CULTURE. However, until a new method of teaching language, called communicative approach, which is sociolinguistically oriented, had not come into existence, this belief was not used to be observed in textbooks and language classes. This method intends to create situations in the classroom in which foreign language can be used as naturally and authentically as the native speakers of target language use it for communicative purposes.The problem of teaching CULTURE, nevertheless, does not end here. Nowadays, foreign languages are taught with different and varied objectives. Is it necessary for all foreign language learners to get familiar with the CULTURE of foreign language they are supposed to learn? As Schumann (1984) claims, is it true that second language learning is impossible, unless one gives up his/her own native CULTURE and adopts the CULTURE of foreign language community? What are some relevant issues regarding teaching English in Iran? These are actually some basic questions raised in this article. Whereas definite answers are not necessarily provided in this paper, some areas of research related to CULTURE, and teaching foreign language are put forward.

Abstract: 

This research is an attempt to study the reasons of the youths' tendency towards some symbols of the WESTERN civilization and CULTURE in District 1 of Shiraz. First, designed questionnaire were teated on sample of 60 individual and after modification of primary questionnaire distributed in our universe that contain of 380 individuals the sample size obtained by Lin-table. Data were analysis through inferential & descriptive statistics. Independent variables in this study are socio-economical status, friendship groups tendencies, self trust, & individual distance from socializing institutions. Results indicated 12 out of 15 factors have meaningful relation to the dependent variables. Level of national and religious tendencies shows the strongest relation of 0.583; also the person distance with the political system is at the level of 0.44; tendency toward the west cultural values is 0.429; person's social distance with family is 0.192 and with educational system is 0.18 have the meaningful relation with dependent variables. Among the factors of social and economical factors, level of the father’s education has more impacts on the tendency toward the WESTERN CULTURE rather than the other factors. The preset study shows that as much as the person distance from the socializing institute increase, the gap between the generation become deeper.

Abstract: 

Mac Intyre believes that the history of the WESTERN CULTURE and thought is analyzable in two different lines, so that the modern intellect is a free and liberated and thus wandering intellect that has not found its way to a strengthened and dignified thinking, and the pre-modern intellect is a theological one intertwined with excellence and committed to tradition. The pre-modern rational thought and tradition have constantly developed within a historical dialectic; and each tradition, recognizing the defects and restrictions of its prior traditions, has sought to correct and complete them.Mac Intyre's main claim is that the way for the modern man to disengage from complicated problems lies in his returning to traditions and performing rationally oriented research, since the man who is separated from tradition and history and lacking moral excellences can not be wise, just as an individual can not enjoy moral excellences without society and intellect. In order to prove these claims, he goes on to mention historical evidences in his own philosophical analysis, which is dealt with in this article.

Abstract: 

Regarding the way of facing the West and modernity, Ahmed Fardid is among the thinkers who, by adopting a philosophical and judgmental approach, rejects modernity, philosophy, and WESTERN civilization in its entirety. Fardid considers modernity and the West to have an inherent crisis and considers any attempt to patch up modernity with Eastern religions or CULTUREs futile. Fardid, who is the creator of the word “Gharbzadegi (Westoxification)”, considers human sciences and WESTERN civilization to be nothing more than the inciting soul vanities and blasphemy. By adopting an essentialist and negative approach towards the modern world, he calls for a complete break from the subjectivism and humanism associated with the modern world and a return to Islamic-oriented philosophy (Hekmat-e Onsi). Seyyed Hossein Nasr, as a traditionalist thinker, rejects WESTERN civilization and modernity as a unified whole. He wants to incorporate modern science and reason and take perennial philosophy. In this paper, via a comparative analysis method, this hypothesis is examined that although Fardid and Nasr are sympathizers in the complete negation and rejection of the modern world, Fardid confronts modernity and its consequent subjectivism using Heidegger’s WESTERN thought. This is when Nasr confronts modernity from the perspective of a traditionalist thinker who believes in the foundations of tradition. Nasr considers the return to the perennial philosophy to solve confronting the WESTERN world and modernity, but Fardid faced with the modern world, emphasizes that although modernity is the exposure of self-fulfillment, one must strive to overcome it. It is difficult to return to the past.

Abstract: 

Education is a continually developing activity, it shapes the way an individual develops their attitudes, thoughts and behavior. Education is not just about being literate but it is an overall development of the person in every aspect of their lives. A society's educational system can be greatly linked to its CULTURE as the CULTURE that one is in have an affect on the type of curriculum the institutions will develop in order to cater to every individual of that particular CULTURE. Education moulds and shapes a society and it is influenced by the CULTURE of the particular country or society. The educational system acts as a point of reference for the society's needs and demands. The principles that dominate this article is CULTURE and education are interrelated and interconnected. Every educational paradigm is influenced by the CULTURE of the society in which it operates. This essay underlines the extensive connection between CULTURE and education. As a result, the goal of this essay is to depict these features from a Philosophical-Psychological Approach.

Abstract: 

Thirty samples were examined to document the nannofossil assemblage and determine the biostratigraphic zonation. Samples were taken from a borehole drilled at Sisseton (NE South Dakota). 92 species of nannofossil were determined and photographed. Biostratigraphic study of calcareous nannofossils allowed recognition of Late Early Campanian to Early Late Campanian age for the studied section.

Abstract: 

The main issue of the article is the identity of the system of the systems from the viewpoint of the Quran and the tradition or Alawite CULTURE, and its differences with other systems in the WESTERN CULTURE. The article is aimed at explaining the identity and the essence of the system of systems from the viewpoint of the Qur'an and the Sunnah that the method of research is a qualitative type of content analysis and its method of analyzing the argumentation of a method of implicit-oriented ijtihad with the focus of Quran verses of the Holy Qur'an. The result of the research reveals the results that the identity of the system of orders in the Alawite CULTURE is orderly and there are different levels along the length. And human identity is in the concept of CULTURE in the west it is not the result of human thoughts and experiences and human Rather, the system and systems that came with it from God and all its doctrines are somehow documented in the verses and hadiths that return to the infallible Imam And its truth, although it appears to be credible, is a kind of exploration that is discovered and updated from the systems inserted in the celestial scriptures and transmitted by the prophets and the imams. And in the dimensions of cognitive tools, motivations, criteria in judging, the truth of the system of states, system reform, goal, construction, convergence, and cohesion with the system of WESTERN CULTURE systems are different. The best strategy in institutionalizing the religious system is to explain and institutionalize the thoughts of monotheism and penetration in the minds of the nurses.

Abstract: 

Introduction and Purpose: The aim of this study is the evaluation of the attitude toward WESTERN CULTURE and effective factors on it among the youth. In this respect CULTURE is set of beliefs and values which are exhibited in conventions, language, literature, religion and other sentiments and cultural heritages. It affects peoples’ characters and invading it means a full-scale effort of a nation with its own CULTURE to impose it to other societies.Method: The methods used in this study were predicative and surveying methods. A sample of 250 individuals was selected with a simple random sampling technique using Cochran’s formula.Findings: based on descriptive findings, 51% of respondents were male and 49% were female. The most male respondents (55%) were in age category 21-25 and the least (18%) were in 26-30 of age. Also, the most female respondents (53%) were in age category 21-25 and the least (14%) were in 26-30 of age.Conclusion: the analytical findings showed that there was a significant and positive relationship between the feeling of social isolation, feeling of social deprivation, access to WESTERN media, gender and feeling of social apathy and the attitude towards WESTERN CULTUREs. Also there existed an inverse relationship between defected religious beliefs and WESTERN CULTURE.

Abstract: 

علیرغم مطالعات زیادی که در دهه های اخیر پیرامون بهبود روشهای انجماد و ذوب جنین انجام شده و پیشرفتهای حاصل از آنها هنوز میزان زنده ماندن جنین ها و متعاقب آن رشد و تکوین جنین های منجمد شده کمتر از جنین های منجمد نشده است. از سوی دیگر پژوهشهای سال اخیر نشان داده که کشت همزمان جنین پستانداران با سلولهای پیکری به افزایش توان رشد و تکوین جنین در محیط کشت می انجامد. در پژوهش حاضر توان با سلولهای Vero در فراهم آوردن شرایطی که بتوانند جنین های منجمد - ذوب شده موش را به مرحله بلاستوسیت ثانویه برسانند ارزیابی شده است.آزمون اول: جنین های هشت سلولی موش پس از انجماد به روش کند در حضور پروپاندیول و سوکروز با سرعتهای مختلف (4، 20، 45، 125، 440 درجه سانتیگراد در دقیقه) ذوب شدند و رشد و تکوین آن ها بررسی شد. نتایج نشان داد که سرعت 440oC دقیقه مناسبترین سرعت ذوب است.آزمون دوم: به منظور پیداکردن مناسبترین مرحله تکوین جنین برای مراحل بعدی پژوهش، جنین های یک، دو، چهار و هشت سلولی موش به کندی منجمد و با سرعت 440oC در دقیقه ذوب شدند.نتایج نشان داد که جنین های یک سلولی درصد زنده ماندن بالایی دارند ولی بدلیل ایست تکوینی درمرحله دو سلولی متوقف می شوند. همچنین جنین های دو سلولی درصد زنده ماندن خوبی دارند ولی رشد و تکوین بعدی آنها بدلیل تاثیرات منفی انجماد و ذوب کاهش می یابد.آزمون سوم: جنین های یک و دو سلولی موش در محیط RPMI دارای سلول Vero و بدون سلول Vero (گروه شاهد) کشت داده شدند و نتیجه رشد و تکوین دو گروه با یکدیگر مقایسه شد. نتایج نشان داد که جنین های یک سلولی در محیط دارای سلول Vero بهتر از گروه شاهد از مرحله دو سلولی گذر کرده اند ولی تکوین نهایی آنها (تبدیل به بلاستوسیست ثانویه) در دو گروه تقریبا برابر بود. جنین های دو سلولی در حضور سلولهای Vero رشد بهتری داشتند و تعداد زیادتری ازجنین های گروه آزمون به مرحله خروج از زونا رسیدند (P<0.001).آزمون چهارم: جنین های دو سلولی منجمد شده موش پس از ذوب به محیط دارای سلولهای Vero و بدون سلول Vero منتقل شدند و رشد و تکوین بعدی آنها بررسی شد. نتایج نشان داد که کشت همزمان سلولهای Vero با جنین منجمد - ذوب شده به تکوین بهتر جنین ها منجر شده است. تعداد زیادتری جنین در گروه کشت همزمان به بلاستوسیست ثانویه (P<0.001) و مرحله خروج از زوناپلوسیدار رسیدند (P<0.0001). از یافته های پژوهش حاضر می توان دریافت که کشت همزمان ابزار مفیدی برای بالا بردن توان تکوین جنین پستانداران است و این ابزار بخصوص زمانی که شرایط کشت نامناسب باشد و یا جنین تحت استرس باشد (مانند اثرات منفی انجماد و ذوب) بسیار کارآمد خواهد بود.
